I have the coolest shirt ever!!!! I love it!!! I took a picture for you all to see! (Please ignore all the craziness in the back ground)

So this picture is not all that great, but I had to show it! My shirt says " I Love You...Like a Fat Kid Loves Cake.

NochoMamaTees allowed me review one of their great t-shirts and how could I refuse? This one was just so funny. The t-shirt I chose is a medium, preshrunk, and fits great. It is made very well and they shipped it super fast. I swear they must have some kind of magic portal to my mail box. I never get anything this fast. I ordered it on the 24th and it came in on the 27th. That was with the Thanksgiving holiday and all! I couldn't believe it!

I have been sporting my new shirt around and already I have some family members that loves it and are so jealous. I guess I know what I will be giving as gifts this Christmas.

This is the picture of my shirt and a few others that I love from the NachoMamaTees site!

My Tee!!

Possibly the next Tee I order for myself!

My hubby and I both Love this one!

I think this one is awesome!

This one my hubby loves, but said I had to be smart to understand it. I'm not that smart! He may just be getting it for Christmas though. (Don't tell him!)

So, a big thank you to NachoMamaTees! I was given the Tee, but my review was totally and entirely my own. I stand by my opinion! I love my Tee!!

Today's quotes are all about family. I still have the warm fuzzy feeling of seeing lots of family this week. So, I thought it would be fitting.

The Christmas Spirit

What is the Christmas Spirit?

I found myself asking this question to my hubby yesterday evening. It seems that the world has forgotten the meaning of Christmas! So, does the Christmas spirit mean gift buying, giving, and getting? That's what I would think if I didn't know any better.

I was blessed to have my hubby home for Thanksgiving. That was one of the many things I am thankful for. Then he told me that his boss said he could have another day off, but he had to choose between Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. He chose Friday! This meant I could go shopping and he would spend all day with Will bonding and doing MAN stuff!

They had nothing in the Black Friday papers that was a have to have item for us. They did have a few things that we would like to have and get as gifts. One thing I didn't see, but wanted was a new nativity scene. I have one made of lead crystal. It is small and getting old. The color is not very clear and I have a hard time deciding which person is which in it. This year I wanted to find one that I could pass down through generations.

I was a little bummed that I didn't find one, but what bothered me the most was that I didn't see the first nativity scene in any of the stores that I went to. In some stores I didn't really look, but once I got home and discussed it with my hubby I came to the realization that I didn't see anything that really showed the meaning of Christmas. I didn't see anything with Jesus's name on it or anything that said God on it!!!

I didn't even see Merry Christmas that much. I saw a lot of Happy Holidays and stuff like that, but no Merry Christmas. So, do people not celebrate Jesus's birth anymore? I know I do and a lot of others do, but the majority must not!

I don't know how to explain this to my 3 year old, but we do try! At the moment he is more worried about Santa seeing him be bad than God seeing him. He is only 3 though. I hope all the other children have someone out there to teach them. Will is going to worry about Santa because he is 3. I worry about God and thought that most adults did. I don't know this makes my head and heart both hurt.

So please add a spacial prayer for all those children. That they learn the real meaning of Christmas and as they grow and begin to worry more about doing good for God and not Santa. May God Bless us all! If you found the Real Christmas Spirit while shopping pleas let me know. This way I know someone found it!

Hury It Along Already!!!

My poor little boy wants Thanksgiving to come so bad!!! Every morning he asks me if today is Thanksgiving Day. And everyday I have to tell him not yet. He walks away with a sad little face and asks "Then what day is this day?".

He wants to see his Daddy and His Aunt Chris, Uncle David, and Brookie so bad. The plant my hubby works at is in the middle of a shut down at the moment and the only day off he will get is Thanksgiving. He is on his 10th strait day of 10 plus hours. Will misses him so much. He only sees him for about 2 or 3 hours a day. Right before he goes to bed.

As for as Aunt Chris, Uncle David, and Brookie they are from Memphis and he doesn't get to see them often. He gets so excited knowing they will be down.

Thanksgiving is finally a day away and I think he may just bust! He is so excited. So, I would like to wish everyone a Very Happy Thanksgiving and I hope it doesn't pass to fast! Hubby will be back to work on Friday until who knows when:(

Got Hog Lard? Update!!!

Got Hog Lard!

That's right! Hog Lard!

Today I am on the hunt for some good old hog lard. Every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas we fry our turkeys in hog lard. Not to good for you, but in the south we don't really care. Everything is better in when it isn't good for you.

I will be going to nearby towns looking for my precious hog lard. It is a bit hard to find. Lots of people want it and you can only get it where they butcher. Some stores no longer butcher even though they sell specialty meats. They buy the meats and smoke, stuff, and/or dry them. I so love those stores!!! The smell of smoked sausage or some good old cracklens. Makes me gain 5 pounds thinking about it.

So, I hope everyone has a great day today. My day will be great as soon as I find my 4 count them 4 gallons of hog lard!
I did not get my hog lard:( I called and visited countless stores. Finally I decided to go and get vegetable oil. I called my cousin to see how big the turkey would be to know how much oil I needed. (Vegetable oil is more expensive than hog lard.) She then informed me that her hubby's boss gave them a box of oil because he wanted us to fry his turkey as well.
Do you mean to say I have been running around all day to find hog lard when you had oil? Then on top of that he gave them the good stuff. Peanut oil. (In my opinion hog lard is the best, but most people think peanut oil is the best. Its just more expensive. They have to get oil from a freaking peanut!!! It will cost more!) I am now home without hog lard:(
I am sure the turkey will be good anyway. If not I am making a pork roast that will be GREAT! (Yes, I LOVE pork!)

A Great Shopping Day

Yesterday was one of my best shopping days ever!!!

I started at Target. I hadn't really planed on buying much. I wanted to see how much a Fisher Price Camera was. They had it on sale last week, but I didn't get a chance to go. This week it wasn't on sale, but a lot of other things where. I ended up getting a few Christmas gifts out of the way. I got 2 of the cutest little long sleeve onsies for my 2 new nieces with a pair of knitted mittens, a Bob The Builder movie, a Thomas The Train movie, a pair of pants for Will, and a pair of sandals that will hopefully fit him in the summer. My total was $23.00. How great was that!

The sandals that I hope will fit in the summer.

Then I had to go to JC Penny's to return some ghetto fabulous pants my son got for his birthday (late) from my sister-in-law. (Trying to be good and not gossip about her.) I had a coupon I got here (thank you Coupon Dad!) for $10.00 of a purchase of $25.00 or more. I got the $10.00 back from the pants on a gift card. Then found him 3 pairs of pants and 2 shirts on sale for $3.99 each regular $9.99. I also got him a pair of slippers on sale for $9.99 regular $18.00. All together my bill was $29.94 before tax. after my coupon and gift card (for the returned pants) I paid....$11.39 after taxes. How sweet is that!!!

The clothes I got for Will....

and the slippers I got for him.

I then got him a fabulous pair of shoes from Payless for $22.99. I had a coupon (thank you Brads Deals) for 15% off and that made them $19.54. I paid $21.30 after taxes. Not the greatest deal, but still good. He totally loves them!

The shoes light up too!

I hit Walmart after that, but didn't really find any great deals. I did get his Fisher Price Camera though. The girl at the counter totally ruined it. She let him see it after I said I was trying to hide it, and then asked him if he wanted his new camera to carry home. I quickly told him it was for Aunt Jenny and Jaydon. He still thinks it's for Jaydon. He asked me if he could hold Jaydon's new camera when we got home. I felt bad:( At least I know he will be happy for Christmas when he finds what Santa left him under the tree! I did save $8.65 in coupons at Walmart though. Not the $40 + others save, but still good.

I also got my free panties at Victoria's Secret today too!!! And did you know that the Great American Cookie Company charges $2.75 for ONE ginger bread man. Yes!!! That is what I paid. Will wanted it and I said yes before they told me how much it was. It was good though. But never again!

So I had a good shopping day today. Did anyone find any good deals other than the Black Friday deal I can't go to?:( So many of the ads are out now. I didn't really see anything I have to have anyway. I hope you all find what you are looking for.

Thankful Thursdays-Online Ads

Today I am soooo thankful for online ads.

I live in the middle of nowhere. I have to drive at least 25 minutes to the nearest town with a Walmart and about 50 miles to a town with a Kroger, Target, Kmart, or Mall!!

I plan my trips before I make them. So online ads help me so much! I only get a few ads in my Sunday paper. I don't get ads for grocery stores. Only stores in the mall and Target. They help if I happen to go that way, but I really only go that far about once ever month or so. I usually stay closer to home. Gas is expensive still.

Online ads lets me shop around on prices for Christmas too. At the moment I will not be going Black Friday shopping. Yes I am very sad, but I don't want to make my 3 year old get up a few hour after he fell asleep to go shopping. (Like he is not bad enough now!) My hubby has to get up at 5:00 am to go to work that morning. This means I have nobody to stay home with my son. Yes it sucks!!!! But thanks to online ads I can still find deals. I can even just shop online from the comfort of my ugly squeaky computer chair. Don't they do Black Monday after Black Friday for online shoppers? That may just be a myth. I don't really know. This is the first year I will be Christmas shopping online.

Today is one of those days I will be shopping 50 miles away from my home to get the best deals after looking at all those ads online!!! I hope I get some good deals. If not I am going to keep all my receipts close. (Like I don't already. LOL!)

By the way did you notice that Walmart is not in the spell check! Crazy!!!

Back On Track

Well everything seems to be normal. My hubby is still alive (Thank the Good LORD!!!!), my son is still bad, and I have not yet been admitted to the mental institution.

It took me a while, but I am now ok with my bad dream. Well, not ok with it but I have come to the conclusion that it is just a dream and it didn't come true or come back last night to haunt me. I tell you what thought. It surly made me love on my hubby more when he came home yesterday. He said he felt loved and that is all I wanted him to say. I think I will hold him closer from now on. Not that I didn't before but, well you know what I mean!

As for Will, he is still bad. The last few days he has shown a new side of himself that I just don't like and intend on changing. You know what he did Sunday, but Monday was just as bad. He got punished form his Thomas set too. Tuesday we had company. He had a play date with his friend Carlie. She is a very rough little girl, but Will has learned to hold his own with her. He is know being mean to her. He was caught throwing things at her and sitting on her to pull her hair. He was one his knees twice and would have gotten worse if I hadn't been holding her sleeping month old brother. He got it when she left though. Today I can only imagine what he will pull. I have a trip to "his library" planed and a trip to my Grandmother's house. We shall see how this goes.

No one has come to cart me off the the mental institution yet! (It's only a mater of time.) Sometimes I feel like that won't even help me. I already freaked out on Aunt Jenny today. And its only 8:00 am. She had Jaydon get the N1H1 shot. I am suppose to watch him for her this weekend so they can go to the movies. It was in the news that he can be contagious for a short time now. Will has not had the shot nor will he get one. I definitely don't need him to get the N1H1 form Jaydon's shot. She has called the doctor though and he will not be contagious by the weekend. (They say he is not contagious at all, but I don't trust what people are saying about this flue to start with.)

So life is back on track for right now. I will let y'all know what happens with the N1H1 shot and Will's health after I babysit Jaydon. If Will doe's get it I may just go completely bananas! We shall see.

Bad Dreams!!!

I never have bad dreams!! I can remember that I had 2 bad dreams in my entire life until today. This one takes the cake.

Between 5:00 and 7:00 am I had the worst dream that I have ever had!!! I was crying and all. It was so bad!!!!

I dreamed that my hubby died. My dream was so vivid. I don't know what he died of. It was not a horrific death with lots of gory stuff, but he did die. I dreamed of calling people and telling them. I dreamed of being at the funeral. I dreamed of other family members trying to console and help me. I even dreamed about my son being with me. I had conversations from my dream that are still with me. It was so horrible. The feeling it left with me makes me want to drive up to where he works and just make him come home with me.

I was and still am terrified. First thing I did this morning was text him that I love him!!! I was on pins and needles till he text me back. He did though. Thank the good Lord!!!! I am still .........

My phone just rang and it was my hubby's ring tone. It rang once and I just tried to call him back and it wouldn't go through. After it felt like an eternity (1 1/2 minutes ) he called me back. Talk about make my heart miss a few beets!! I got to tell him all about my bad dream. I also cried a lot more. I feel better know though that I know he's ok.

I guess it helps me feel a little better that my dreams don't ever come true. Some people say that they dream and sometimes something comes true or something similar happens.

I think I am going to go sit with my bible for a little while and talk with God.

Gossip Girl

I am trying to be a better person and become closer to God. Other blogs are really helping. I have come across some that have given me lots to think over and some that have given me some idea of what direction I should go.

I struggle with gossip. I don't have a ton of people I go gossiping to, but I do it. I have been trying not to. I have been catching myself most of the time, but sometimes I think a few minutes too late that I should not have said that.

I mostly gossip about my sister-in-law. If you knew her you would understand. See is that gossiping? That one statement makes me feel like I just gossiped.

She makes me feel so disgruntled sometimes. The things she says and does!!! Wow I could tell you stuff all day. I will not gossip thought. Even though I want to!

You have all read about my problem with the funeral last week and have given me lots of support and I thank you all for that from the bottom of my heart!!!! She was a big reason that post was made. Know Thanksgiving is coming up and then Christmas, and I have already felt the strain of holding myself back. I am not a nasty person, but she can get to me.

My question is how do you do it? How do you keep your feelings and words in check? I am struggling! I am putting forth an effort though! Most of my comments about her only play through in my head. I hope it gets easier with practice!

November 16, 2009

My son is soooo punished!!! I can't even believe what he did. I can't even believe it started with his Pee Paw (who is also punished).

Sunday started off not so great. I was in a bad mood. Will was in a bad mood. He didn't want to go to church and made us late. Then as soon as we got to church he pulls out a hand full of candy that apparently Pee Paw gave him early that morning before we left. As I go to take it from him and explain we don't eat candy in church, he starts screaming and throwing the candy so I can't get it. He has never ever dared to be this bad in church before.

So, over to the cry room we go. He thinks it is called the baby room and doesn't want to be in it. He cries for the first 15 minutes because he wants to go back into the big church and not be in the baby room. As I explain to him he is the only one crying in the baby room he starts to hush. Then I tell him their is no more seats in the big church and we had to stay put, he starts again. I so wanted to leave. Go in the parking lot and put him on his knees for the rest of the service, but it just so happened this was the weekend of out church's fall bazaar. The parking lot was just as full as the church and they had all the fun rides outside.

After church I planed on hightailing it out of there. I had to go to the country store that they put on first. I love homemade thing. Of course what I bought was for Will. A John Deere Tractor pillow. (I caved! He got to ride on the train that they made from drums and attached to a four wheeler too.)

At home he locked us all out the house twice. I have never been so glad for the extra house key! Then Aunt Jenny, Jake, and Jaydon came over. Jake helped us put up a fan in Will's room. Hubby and I had already put up ceiling tile earlier in the day. While we do that Will grabs Jaydon and just pushes him down.

Punishment will be bad!!

Last night he starts getting really whiny and cranky. He doesn't want to listen and pick up his toys. He ended up on his knees for a good long time. He also got punished from some of his toys. Today he has asked for them. Then I reminded him he was punished. Those toys are sitting just out of reach on our entertainment center where he can see them and remember.

I truly hope your children where better than he was this weekend!

Quotable Sunday-Hard Work

Today I have quotes about hard work. It is hard to find someone who knows about hard work nowadays. These quotes are for all those who don't know much about hard work as well as those who know only too much. I hope it makes you smile today.

If hard work were such a wonderful thing, surely the rich would have kept it all to themselves. ~
Lane Kirkland

When you live for a strong purpose, then hard work isn’t an option. It’s a necessity. ~
Steve Pavlina

Striving for success without hard work is like trying to harvest where you haven't planted. ~
David Bly

If hard work were really a virtue, then mules would be saints.
James Dee Richardson quotes

Never work just for money or for power. They won't save your soul or help you sleep at night.

Marian Wright Edelman

Such A Small One!

Today I attended a funeral for an infant who died in his mother. He never saw the world as we know it. He never got to meet us all. We never got to see him.

I cried and prayed for his little soul and for his parents and brother as soon as I got the news. I sent my love and prayers to his parents. I was happy to go to his funeral and help his family in any way that I could.

The thing I didn't understand was how so many others in our family felt differently than I did. So many didn't go to the funeral or had to be drug along. They would come up with every excuse they could think of so they didn't have to go. I didn't know what to say. How could they not go. Yes, it was sad. Yes, it is hard to face his parents at such a sad time for them. I try so hard not to judge those who didn't come. The only thing that keeps going through my head is how selfish they are. I don't want to think bad about them, but I am struggling with this.

How should I handle this? What advice can anyone give me? I am at a point in my life I never imagined. I want to become closer to God and behave the way he wants me to, but I don't know how I will face all those people who chose not to go. Do I pretend it didn't bother me? I just don't know. He had only a hand full of people at his funeral. Maybe this is my way of getting all my frustrations out. I know that I will pray for them as well as this family who had such a heart breaking loss. What more can I do? Thank you for reading this. Not many people will read this post just because it is about the death of an infant and is so sad.

Thankful Thursday-Sippy Cups

Today I am so thankful for sippy cups.

That's right sippy cups. I don't know how moms did it before the sippy cup. My son spills a small cup with a few ounces of water in it. I could see myself putting him in a big tub at meal times just to keep the mess under control. The summer would be easier. He could just drink outside in the grass. He would just be a sticky mess to clean up.

And the car!!! I don't know how I would handle that. When I am driving and can't give him his sippy cup he screams until I pull over. Now he just keeps it in his car seat with him. I know he is 3 and shouldn't be on a sippy cup anymore. I am trying. That may be why I made this post.

It is harder than I thought to get him off it. I tried sports bottles, but he can't pull the top up himself. Then he leaves it open and it spills on everything. A cup with a straw is just as bad. You should see him with a regular cup at mealtimes. He swirls his spoon in it with food on the spoon. Gross!! Maybe it's a boy thing. I haven't pushed him because he did everything else early and easily. Like walking, talking, and potty training!

So at the moment I am thankful for all the use I got o

ut of those sippy cups. Who ever invented them, I hope you are a millionaire. You deserve it!

To add what you are thankful for link up to Saving Sherry, and see what everyone else is thankful for too. I am sure they have something better to be thankful for than silly sippy cups:)

Twilight-How do you feel about it?

I have recently found out that some Christian Moms band the Twilight series form their home! I LOVE the Twilight series and had to find out why they would do this.

Apparently they looked at it completely different from the way I looked at it. I found it to be a great series. I thought it was very apparent that this was fiction. Complete fantasy! It is very well written and even makes you think about your faith. The main characters discus faith and purity in the series many times. The love of family is very strong in their lives. I thought that the entire series was mainly about right and wrong.

Others have found that they see the main characters teaching lust. They found the evil in it. I do have to say if you are looking for the evil you will find it. Evil is in every thing. You only have to look. You can visit Jasmine at Far Above Rubies to better understand her feelings about this. She goes into a lot more detail than I do. Mostly because she feels so strongly about it.

I feel that my son is being taught to love the Lord and know when something is fact or fiction. I don't think that I will keep him from reading these books when I feel he is old enough. I intend to talk about it with him first and make sure he is old enough to enjoy the books, without thinking vampires are real and boys can turn into wolves. I also don't want him to think that love works the same way in real life as in the books. He has to understand they idolize each other more than love each other. No one is perfect. As far as the movies are concerned I don't really like them and I don't yet know how I feel about him watching them one day. I have many years to think this through.

So, how do you feel about the Twilight series? Do you band them from your house hold? Would you let your children read them? Let me know!

I have been spending a lot of time the last few days doing things I knew Will would like. I always try to do fun things with him, but lately I have found a ton of fun things.

Friday I got to keep my Godson Jaydon for the day. He is only one, but has a ball at my house following Will around. I pulled out the mega blocks for them again. Jaydon knocked down a lot of what Will made. Will was not happy. He has now learned to put all his towers on the table after he makes them, so Jaydon can't reach them.

Saturday I made a last minute trip to Walmart. I love the Dollar Tree and one had just opened a few weeks ago in the town I went to. Will found this paint set and had to have it. He loves to paint. (I think the possibility of a mess is what he really loves! Boys!:) He used a lot of brown on them because he found out that Daddy's favorite color is brown. He loves his Daddy!

Sunday one of my friends and I took the kids to a parade. They loved it. Its not every day a parade comes through town. We live in very small towns. This one was for the Swine Festival. Yes we celebrate everything in Louisiana. We have festivals about Pigs, Rabbits, Frogs, Rice, Strawberries, and everything in between.

This is a picture of Will dancing to one of the three bands in the parade. I was totally surprised to see as many as 3 bands.

Monday was a trip to get yarn to make his Pee Paw a blanket for Christmas. Will had to keep the secret till then. He is doing a great job so far. He loves secrets. This is the first he has to really keep though.
Tuesday we had Jaydon over again. They played in the yard. I have great photos, but they are all of their faces. Sorry.

Today we are making a trip to the library so that he can play on the children's computer they have set up. He calls this his library because of that. He tells me my library is the library in the next town we sometimes visit. That one is smaller and doesn't have a children's computer:) It is amazing how he has things in his little mined.

Quotable Sunday

Today's quotes are just thought provoking.

"Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from." -Al Franken

"If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts." -Albert Einstein

"A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." -Mark Twain

“To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.” St. Thomas Aquinas

"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." -Albert Einstein

"Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses." Alphonse Karr

One original thought is worth a thousand mindless quoting.
Diogenes of Sinope

The Greatest Building of the World!

The words that made me laugh out loud today started with this..."Look mom the greatest building of the world!"

Picture an absolutely adorable 3 year old, with arms spread wide, and a smile that will melt your hart saying those words. I couldn't help but run to see what he had planed. When I got to the dining room I saw it. The greatest building in of the world where in my home.

He is so cute! I never imagined Mega Blocks would be his artistic outlet of the day. He surprises me every day. I'm so looking forward to what he comes up with tomorrow.

(Excuse the messy table in the picture. It was the middle of the day and all my cleaning hadn't been done:)

Thankful Thursdays-Children

Today I am thankful for children. It is sometimes so hard to get them in to the world. For some just to conceive is a miracle in itself. Then, if possible,to carry them for 40 weeks and give birth to them by screaming, pushing, and crying!

I don't have a list today, because all children are gifts for God. I am thankful for every single one. Of course My son is on the top of my list, but that is just because I am bias. LOL!

Instead I am praying for all those children who need the Lord. All those who are sick, abused, starving, sad, depressed, or just not having a good day. So many children need our prayers. I especially pray for those who don't yet know the Lord. They may have never been taught or where just taught wrong. I also send a special prayer up for all those little souls who where aborted and the ones not yet born, but still growing in their mothers womb.

Today I ask that you please pass along your prayers too. Every child could use one more prayer!

See what others are thankful for at Saving Sherry.

Stripes have never been my favorite, but they always seem to find me. I made this blanket for Will. He wanted a blanket that Mommy made just for him. I let him pick out the colors and all.

I don't know why I picked this pattern. It was supper cute in baby blue and white. He wanted red and white. I am so glad he picked a burgundy and not a crazy bright red or pinkish red. I picked the soft white instead of bright white. He liked them together so off I went with it.

This is the result. At first I didn't like it at all. It looked a lot like one of those scarves or something for the Harry Potter movies. But, as it got bigger it kind of grew on me. Now that it is don I like it. Of course I messed up in few spots and it is noticeable if you know where to look. Will loves it though and that's all that matters.

I'm not sure what is next for me, but I will keep ya'll updated! Thank you everyone for your support. I really needed to know that I didn't do to bad on my blankets. As I work on them I pray. Most of my prayers turn into prayers for the person who will be under the blankets, but my next will include prayers for all my blogger friends who love my homemade crocheted blankets!

I have been working on the sharing idea with Will for some time now. As most mothers know this is a problem at some time or another. Being an only child, he doesn't have to share all that often. When his cousins and friends come over he had been struggling with the idea of sharing.

We traveled to his Grandmother's house the other day and he had his chance to show us that he has been listening. My hubby was driving and got out at the gas station. When he got in a Reba McEntire song was on the radio. He very well changed it. He is not a big Reba fan. I feel that you should never turn a Reba song off. That is just something you don't do. Well 15 minutes later a Johny Cash song came on. I turned it. Hubby was very upset to say the least. He doesn't look well on turning a Cash song.

As we argued about who was right and who should just grow up, Will stops us by saying " have to share your music!" What do you say to that. I am just so glad he has been learning what sharing really means. All my work is paying off. The ironic thing is I was the one not sharing. Funny how things work out.

Now I am more than happy to continue trying to teach him not to run in the house. This seams to be a bit harder lesson to learn. It sure gives him a lot of bumps and bruises.

A Weekend of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hunters, and Lady Bugs!

This weekend flew by! Our weekend started unexpectedly early Friday evening. We usually don't consider Friday as part of the weekend since hubby works all day and comes home tired. So, when we got a call from a friend asking us if we wanted to go to a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert that night we where ecstatic. Then we realized we had no baby sitter and couldn't go. My cousin called about 20 minutes later and offered to babysit! They got the call asking them to go after we couldn't. Since she had one week until her baby is due she didn't want to go. Being the great person she is offered to babysit for us instead! This is one of the reasons I love her so much! She is also Will's Nanny!

We had a great time at the concert. We had floor seats and where only 10 rows back. I took pictures, but you know they didn't come out! My hubby was so excited to see this band. I was more excited to be doing something together. The last concert we went to I was pregnant and the last movie we saw was before I was pregnant. That was a very very long time ago! Will is 3 now!

Of course Saturday was Halloween and we spent the day getting ready. Will wanted to be a hunter! I had his camouflage shirt, pants, and jacket ready. We made a last minute trip to Walmart to get some face paint and to see if we could find him a (toy) shot gun to carry. Yes, I had my doubts about having him carry a gun around town, but I didn't really think he would carry it in the end. Hubby very much wanted him to have the gun though. So, we found the face paint and the gun. Then we found the pumpkins on sale for 50 cents!

Like I mentioned in my other post about not ever carving a pumpkin before, I didn't know how fast it would rot! So, when we saw the pumpkins for so cheep we got another one. This one I let Will paint when we got home. ( No time for carving one today. )

When we got home I was very impressed with how well he did with his gun. Hubby showed him how to carry it when not shooting it, and taught him the rules of not pointing it at anyone and so on. He did so great.

When it was time to go trick or treating he did just as I had thought. That gun stayed in the truck the whole time! Big sigh of relief.... he had the best time though. His little girl friend, Karlie, came with us and together they had a blast. (She was dressed as a lady bug!)

Sunday went just as fast! We spent the day with my mother-in-law at her house. Hubby's sister and her family came too. It was a day of food and shopping for us girls. The kids and men stayed at her house and let the kids ride the four wheelers and the Kawasaki Mule. All in all it turned out to be a great weekend. I hope everyone had a great weekend too!
