To Be So Lazy.......

Dogs have the best life!  A dog gets fed, petted, and has a warm and loving family to take care of them.  At least our dog does.  She is our fur baby after all!

Here is a picture of her getting ready for bed.  She is in her bed (which is in our room) at about 8:00 or 9:00 every night.  She loves her sleep!

This year I was so excited to get her an ornament for the tree.  This is her first Christmas with us and as a member of the family, she had to have her own ornament.  I was lucky enough to win this beautiful Lenox ornament from Nichol over at Kiddies Corner Deals!

This made our Christmas that much more special!

Do you ever win?

I go through times when I don't win a darn thing for weeks!  Then I can go through times when I seem to win back to back.  Do you ever win when you enter giveaways?  Do you go through slumps when you don't win for weeks, then all of a sudden win back to back giveaways like that?

I won one giveaway that was for my fur baby.  It's hard to find giveaways for pets.  This is one of the giveaways I listed on a Giveaway Saturday post a few weeks ago.  I won a Fleece Ball from Bentleys Bones from The Cartoon Lovin' Mama.  I was so excited to give it to Charlotte.

She absolutely loves it!  Here are some pictures of her playing with her new toy.  They are a little fuzzy because she wouldn't sit still with her ball long enough for me to take the pictures. LOL!

Now that she has had it for some time, I am happy to report that it has totally stud the test of time and dog.  It has not come apart or became frizzy or anything like that.  Charlotte is hard on her toys, but this is one that we are both very happy with.

If you would like to get your fur baby a ball of their own, you can find them at the Etsy store BentleysBones.  Everything in the Etsy store is handmade and washable.  They sale Leash Bags, Toys, and Blankets.  You will love the prices too!

She Is Such A Good Girl!

Charlotte has come a long way in 5 months.  If you remember, we rescued her from being put to sleep.  She was scheduled for one more week of life.  We got her from a worker at the Humane Society.  No one knew her exact age or if she had had any vet visits much less shots.

We adopted her and got her shots and figured with she is now around a year or so.  In those 5 months she has been house trained and know knows the boundaries of our yard.  She stays out free in the yard as long as we are outside.  She loves us and plays well with Will.  She knows who her Momma is though and is now a Momma's girl.

She makes me so proud.  All the work of potty training has paid of and she listens better than Will does.  I often refer to her as my fur baby.  Will considers himself my skin baby.  I know have my boy and my girl and couldn't be happier.  I just wanted everyone to know how good my little girl has become!

Why A Rainy Day = Joy To My Dog!

My dog must be one in a million! I never would have though she would enjoy a rainy day like she does. After a good rain she is just dieing to go out side. Of coures I think she needs to go out to do her business now that the rain is over. I would be wrong!

She is killing me to go out because she wants to search for all the frogs and crawfish that come out after a good rain. The first thing she does is go to the edge of our property where we have a ditch dug to drain the water from our yard. She knows that the frogs hang out there and the crawfish aren't far away.

The frogs apparently have a bad affect on her mouth when she licks them. They make her drool uncontrollably and still she doesn't care. She plays with them until they are no longer able to hop or pretty much move. The crawfish are a different story though. They try to back up into the grass. She just digs them out. Then they stand up and try to pinch her with there claws. They usually make her holler a little when they grab her lips and hold on. You should see her swing them around. You can't help but laugh and then wrought her on because after that bit of pain the crawfish just inflicted, you want her to win! And she does. She eats everything but the claws! She just leaves them there as if to say "Let this be a warning to all you other crawfish. I will get you too and your claws are no match for me!"

I have come to think that she is a cajun dog. Only cajuns like crawfish that much! Here are a few pictures, so that you can see exactly what I'm talking about!

The Crawfish!

The Showdown!

The Crawfish has her by the lips!

But in the end the Dog WINNS!

Ready To Give Away A Dog!!!

Why am I ready to give away a dog? This is what I found in my house Sunday when I came home from visiting the in-laws....

That was on the floor in the kitchen. It's a slice of bread. As I looked around this is what I found in the dogs bed....

That is what was a whole loaf of bread, a twelve pack of Coca-Cola (thank goodness it wasn't my Dr Pepper!), a bad of dog treats, and a box that some planting stuff came in! Plus she tore down two sets of blinds now from the living room windows!

But wait! That morning when I came home from Church I found she used the bathroom on my carpet! She knows better by now. I'm at my whits end. If someone would have offered to take her yesterday she would have been gone in a heart beat! I am getting overwhelmed with the dog hair everywhere too!

She made up for it all this morning though. She usually wakes me up very early to take her out. Today she let me sleep an extra hour. It was so lovely. I guess I'll keep her. I do like her some:) I just get so tired of cleaning up after her. That's all I seam to do. I guess I'll have to pray about this a little more. I hope everyone else had a great weekend!
