This is the thought going through my head as I am driving home from a birthday party yesterday. (Yes, another birthday party! Seems like I go to two a week!)
Lets go back a few hours.....I was putting Will in his booster seat when I realized the sucker he had gotten from the bank the day before was gone. In it's place was tiny bits of wrapper (no sucker and no stick). Hmmm.
(Me) Will did you take the sucker out the truck.
(Will) Ummm....No!
(Me) Well what did you do with it, and how did you manage to tear the rapper up like this?
(Will) I don't know.
He was no help at all!
Flash forward to my driving home from the above mentioned birthday party....I was driving and something happened to catch my eye on the passenger side floor board. IT WAS A MOUSE!!! A big brown rat mouse!!!! It was in my truck!!! With me and Will in it!!!
What should I do. It ran as fast as it could up under my dash and into my front end of my truck. Should I stop and jump out? No, that wouldn't do any good. the mouse rat would still be in the truck with my son! Should I keep going and pray it didn't come back out or go around and bite my toes? (I happened to be wearing my trusty flip flops.)
I prayed a quick prayer and then called Hubby! Do I set a trap, do a get out my truck dance, or what? He suggested a mouse trap.
So, when I got home I set one with a little tootsie roll on it (since he likes candy and all) and left in on the floor board of my truck overnight.
This morning I went to check my trap. I had him. The little mouse rat was smaller than I remember him. (I had remembered him as a fury pound of filth.) He was more of a normal mouse size.
Now, my hope is that he was the only one. Please Lord, don't let a family be living in my truck eating my wires!!!!

Meet Me On Monday
1. What is your favorite food? Pizza! I love pizza. I think I could eat it every day. Add a good cold can of Dr. Pepper to that and I would be in heaven!!!
2. What color scheme is your bedroom? My bedroom is a lot of different colors right now. My walls are brown, curtains are green, and my bed is covered in beautiful blooming flowers.
3. Do you carry a donor card? I don't know about all states, but in Louisiana if you choose to be a organ donor, they add a little heart to your driver's licence. I am an organ donor and I have a card that shows I donate blood, but I don't carry it around with me.
4. In your opinion, is the glass half empty or half full? I guess it really depends on what mood I'm in, but I think most of the time my glass is half full! The Good Lord makes sure of that!!!
5. Vanilla or Chocolate? What a silly questions. The obvious answer is chocolate!!!!

Cars 2...or...Mater's Spy Adventures
Really, it could have been named either one.
We took Will to see the much anticipated Cars 2 movie. We have been waiting and counting down the days till this movie came out for a long time. I have a big white board next to my computer that has been having the movie date on it for months!
Cars 2 was a really good movie. This movie was more about Mater than any Lightning McQueen though. Mater had the staring role. He became a spy and got into a lot of tight spots. He got to use guns and rocket boosters. He made new friends and even managed to get himself a girlfriend. Almost all the old characters where there, just in a much smaller role. I was a bit disappointed that the other characters didn't really get a chance to shine, but after all, the movie was only about an hour and a half. Mater did a lot in that amount of time!

I don't know who was more excited about this new movie. Will, because it was a new Cars movie (his favorite movie in the world) or me and Kenny because we know the old Cars movie by heart and it's just time for a new one! I even know Mater's Tall Tales by heart! So, this was a special day for us all.
Will got ready the night before by using his Cars towel, putting on his Cars pjs, and using his Cars tooth brush set. Then he watched the Cars movie in his room until he fell asleep. The next morning he put on his New Cars 2 shirt and his Cars sandals (which are way to small) and was ready to go get some Cars 2 movie tickets!
All in all, we enjoyed it and are now counting down the days until it is out on DVD. Try telling a 4 year old to wait and maybe for Christmas it will be out and he can see it again!

Thankful Thursday
Today I get to post it though! Yeaaaaaay!!! I know a lot of my readers have been missing my Thankful Thursday posts. So, today is about all of you.
I am so thankful that I have friends out in the world that read my blog and are truly concerned about me and my family. My readers are the best and I am thankful you are my friends. Friends are hard to come by and I cherish them beyond belief.
A friend is someone God put on this earth to cheer you on, to make you feel like you are someone important, and to give you a hand when yours are all tied up. Life would be no good with out friends. Some day we will all meet, but for now I just wanted to give you a big hug and tell you how much your comments have meant to me.
Share what you are thankful for this week here with me and then hop on over to Grace Alone and link up with Iris, who is our host this month!

Meet Me On Monday
Here are the Monday questions and my answers....
1. What feature of the opposite sex do you notice first? I notice men's height. I am 5'2" and so someones height is always the first thing I notice.
2. Do you talk to yourself? Ummm......Yes! I talk to myself all the time. Most of the time it is just in my head, but sometimes I do talk to myself out loud. I also call myself by my middle name when I'm upset with myself. Crazy, I know!
3. What is your current relationship status? I am a happily married woman!!!!
4. Do you have a garden? I do have a garden. It isn't doing to well with all this heat and lack of rain though. You can read more about it here.
5. What is your favorite licorice flavor? I'm not a big fan of licorice and didn't know it had more than one flavor. I do like twizlers if that counts.

Hot! Hot! Hot!
It has been so hot here! We are hitting 100 every day. Plus we are getting no rain!
That's not a good combination for us. Our pretty green lawn is turning a crunchy brown and dust has taken over everything. The worst part is my garden. It's not doing too good. I have a few things still alive, but everything is growing slow and staying small. I am amazed I still have anything growing at all.
Here are some of the few vegetables I have in my garden.
This is one of my cantaloupes.....
a baby watermelon (I had two others, but the heat got to them).....
here is a cucumber.....
some zucchini.....
my only banana pepper.....
some roma tomatoes....
and some bigger tomatoes.....
Everything else in my garden has been a casualty of the heat and lack of rain. I water every day, but it's just not the same as the water from above. I hope it rains soon or I may loose the little bit I have. My green onions are doing good, but I think they will grown no matter what! LOL!

Meet Me On Monday
Meet me on Monday once again! Here are the Monday questions and my answers!
1. What is your favorite yogurt flavor? I use to love any of the Yoplait yogurts, but when I was pregnant for my son dairy made my stomach turn. Now I can eat one every now and then. Those prego months just ruined it for me though :(
2. Ankle or knee socks? and on the same theme, white socks or coloured?? Knee socks are the way to go for me. I don't really know why, but I just like them. I have a few pairs of black socks and a few that are themed (like Christmas and such). Most of my socks are white though. You can't see them under my shoes or pants anyway.
3. How is the weather right now? Here in South Louisiana it is hot (100 and up) and very dry. We haven't had rain in......well I don't remember the last time we had rain.
4. Are you a fast typer? I'm pretty fast. I could be faster, but I hit the backspace button a lot. LOL!!!!
5. Red or White Wine? If I drink wine I like red or blush. I'm not a big drinker though and when I do drink I would much rather a good Margarita!!!

My First Card & Beautiful Crocheted Baby Blankets!
I am a semi-crafty person, but never felt the need to make cards. I have made lots of other paper crafts. I have scrapbooked for years, but cards just didn't make me feel crafty.
All that changed when I started seeing all the fun my friend Bernie was having with her cards. She started making cards and they where great. I was blown away with how creative she could be with each card. She traded them and mailed them to friends and family. I felt so special when I was mailed one too.
I had the opportunity to make my first card for a friend's baby shower. I thought to myself "how can I make her feel special to?". I crocheted her a beautiful baby blanket (at least I think it was beautiful) and thought that a handmade card would be the perfect thing to go with it.
I got out a piece of card stock, some of my paper, and some stickers from my scrapbooking collection to get me started. Here is how it turned out.
I also had a stamp that Bernie and her Mr. made for me that I crafted into the interior of my card. (I won the stamp from a giveaway she had on her blog. Yaaay! Go me) I couldn't believe how nice it came out. I was expecting it to look a little more "homemade". Kind of like a 5 year old did it, but it looks more like a 10 year old did it. And I am more than happy with it.
Here is a picture of the baby blanket I made. I think it is the prettiest one I made so far. I liked it so much that I made a second one just like it. I also made one in pink and purple. Those two I will try to sell. I don't know if anyone will really pay for my work (so far I have only given then away as gifts), but I will try.
I have a lot more crafty things to show you soon. I have been a busy bee! If you have some crafty things to show, let me know. I love looking at new crafts that get me inspired!

Back In Business!
Finally my computer is fixed!!!! (Que the singing angels) I am now back in business and ready to start blogging again!
I have missed sooooo much. I looked in on a few of the bloggs I have been missing and WOW did I miss alot. Some even have new looks and and all. I was gone for over 2 months, and have been going mad every second of each day. I actually broke down one day. I lay on the floor crying because I didn't know what was wrong with this computer and I didn't have any more money to sink into it, much less buy a new one.
I worried myself sick many times. I tried to put it all in God's hands, but you all know how easy it is to leave there. Finally I just had to admit that I couldn't do anything about it, and don't you know that was the moment I felt the calmness come over me. He was telling me all along to let Him deal with it, and finally I listened. Sometimes I feel like I do so much asking of Him, and very little is asked of me. I am so selfish. I want it all. I want a happy life with a loving family. I don't want to struggle and never want to be sick. I want all the blessings I can get, and so far I have gotten almost all of them. Yet, I still want more. Lucky for me, He understands!
The time I was out of the Internet world has been great, now that I look back on it. I got to do so much more with out thinking about what I was going to post later on. I got caught up on my crocheting (pictures will be up soon). I read more books and watched more tv, but the best thing was that we had more family time.
The down side was that I was not able to pull up info when I needed it, and I had to use public computers to check all my accounts. I also missed all my bloggy buddies. Being a stay at home mom is hard when you don't get even a quick computer break to talk to someone who isn't 4 years old.
All in all, I needed this little break. I have a renewed sense of what I want my blog to be like and what I want from my blog. I feel like I was getting away from my original material that described my life and was going down the road of "Mommy Blogger". I don't want to be seen that way. I don't want to be labeled a "Mommy Blogger". There isn't anything wrong with being a "Mommy Blogger", but there are just so many of them. All I want to be me. I want to be a blogger who describes her lifestyle and culture with her family by her side. I want to share my feelings as a person other than Will's Mom. That's who I am. I am a person with many different titles, not just Mom. That's what I want others to see here. I want people to come back and read my blog because it's interesting. I will still do a few giveaways and a few reviews, but I will keep them to a minimum. I want to share my joy over the things going on in my life more. I love my life and feel blessed beyond belief.
So, welcome back to my blog
