Boobie Holder Search!

Yesterday I went on a search for a new boobie holder (a bra).  All you ladies know how hard it is to find a good boobie holder.  I hate shopping for one!  I normally don't have many to start with, so when my favorite one broke a few days ago I had to go out and find another one.

My son use to love to go in the ladies underwear department.  He even liked Victoria's Secret.  He would ride in the buggy or walk through yelling "boobies" and trying to touch all the bras he could.  Now that he is 4 year old, he goes with Daddy while Mommy shops for "her stuff".

At 4 he is so funny about all this.  A few months ago, he was in the bathroom putting on his p.j.s when he  said "Mommy, I see your boobies!"  I'm looking down at myself to make sure I'm dressed.  Yes, I was.  So, how did he see my boobies?  Oh, I had my bra hanging up to dry!  Silly boy! He really thought they were my boobies.  After wiping the tears from my eyes from laughing, I had to explain that Mommy's boobies don't come off.  That was just Mommies boobie holder.

I don't know if he understands, but that was all the detail I was going into.  ((sigh))  If only I could take them off and put on a new pair anytime I feel like it.  Oh well.  God gave me these and I really do like them.  We'll see in another 10 years if I'm singing the same tune. LOL!

(I decided this post needed no pictures! You can thank me in the comment section.)

Thankful Thursday

Now that the year is almost over and I look back on it, I can say it was a good one.  My little boy turned 4 years old this year and is growing up so fast.  The Lord gave him to ME and allowes me to be his mother!  WOW! That still blows my mind!

My marriage is great and I have become closer to God this year.  I have made what I consider progress with my blogging this year.  I have new followers and most importantly, I have discovered some new friends.

This year also brought many surprises at many different times in the year.  Hubby and I have gotten another year older and what I would describe as wiser.  We had our share of mistakes and bad decisions this year also though, but have learned from every one of them and each other.  What next year holds for us is a mystery, but I have my faith in the Lord, and know everything is according to His plan!

Thankful Thursday is hosted today by Iris at Grace Alone.  Hop on over and link up!  I would love to know what you are thankful for today!

Gummies

As you all know, I like to enter giveaways and love winning them even more.  A while back I was lucky enough to win a great "Make Your Own Gummies" kit from Melissa over at Your Fun Family.

I saved this fun little kit and Will was surprised with it on Christmas morning.  It was a great stocking stuffer and he loves any DIY project.  Having it be edible was a bonus to him! LOL!

A few days ago he finally talk me into making his gummies when I had an extra hour or so.  I was surprised to find out that the gummies didn't include any gelatin.  They are made with natural see weed.  See weed has something in it that acts as gelatin.  It is better than gelatin because it can be reused over and over by heating it up.  This way we where able to make more than one plate of gummies.  He had a blast doing it, but I sure am sure he only had one kit.  (I did most of the work.  And even though it was edible, it still didn't compare with candy form the store.)

Now he is breaking my head to play with the moon sand kit he got.  It is a little cold and windy outside still, and he is not allowed to play with it in the house.  (Too much of a mess!)  He has been playing nonstop with his new play-doh package though.  It's a puppies package.  He has been making play-doh puppies every day.  Good think they are play-doh.  I would hate to have to feed and train all those puppies.

The Christmas Spirit is Alive!

Most people take down their trees, turn off the twinkle lights, and pack everything back up as soon as the last gift is unwrapped and guest all leave.  I don't get it.....I just don't.  You spend all this time building up to Christmas.  You go out and buy the perfect gifts, hang all your decorations, deck out your tree, put out your antique nativity sets, light up your yards, and all for only a few weeks.

I celebrated Christmas just like everyone else, but still have everything out and our tree is still glowing.  We are still celebrating Jesus's birth.  The angels sang and the star above Bethlehem glowed brightly for more than one night.

I am so happy to see houses still light up around town.  We ventured to a larger town a few days ago and on our way home, my heart sang to see all the homes still glowing with Christmas lights.  I think it means more to me after Christmas day is over and gone to see those lights, than it did in the weeks leading up to Christmas.  Last night I warned Hubby that the tree would be up for a little longer.  He was fine with it.  He never mentioned anything about taking it down before, but I felt the need to share my need for celebrating a little longer with him.  He always seems to amaze me with his understanding.

As for our Christmas day celebrations, they went great.  I got to be with most of all of our family at different times through out the day.  The only down fall was Christmas morning, when Will discovered Santa had visited.  I expected the big happy dance and cheering.  What I got was a child who just looked around and felt satisfied with what he was given, but not extremely excited.  What a let down:(  Charlotte came to the rescue though.  She was beyond excited, and made up for all Will was lacking when she found out Santa left her a "lovey" (a brown bear) and a knotted up rope for her in her stocking.  She jumped around and did her doggy dance of excitement!  My fur baby made my heart feel good!

I think we have officially decided that Will is spoiled and now is the time to change some of that.  No longer will he be able to talk me into a toy at the store or Daddy into candy at the gas station.  I will hold my ground, Daddy will be the one to cave.  I just know it.  Charlotte will be getting more toys soon though:)

Meet Me On Monday

Meet Me On Mondays is brought to you by Never Growing Old.  Hop on over and stay to enjoy all the wonderful answers from others around the bloggy world!  Fell free to leave your answers with me also in the comment section of this post!

Today her questions are as followed.

1.  What are your New Year's Eve plans?  Every year we go to a big a family friends house and enjoy fireworks, gumbo, and my Hubby plays music for everyone.  We do it all outside around a huge fire. (Some of the guys work for the fire department, so don't be to worried about us.  Although, I think things get out of hand more because of them.)  But, this year Hubby is working nights and I am staying home with Will.  This will be the first year in a very long time that I won't be attending the get together.

2.  How tall are you?  I am 5'2" and proud of every inch!  I am considered short by most, but around where I live I am normal height.  I am actually the tallest in my family.  My Hubby is taller than me though.  He is 6 feet tall.  (I like taller men!)

3.  What is your favorite pudding flavor?  I like chocolate of course!  If I am buying it already made in those little snack pack things, I like the mixed flavors.  Like chocolate and camel or banana cream.

4.  What room of the house do you blog the most in?  Well, you can normally find me in the kitchen.  I am the cook here and also the maid, so you can really find me in any room.  I consider the entire house my room.  Although, I do like the porch and yard too.  I do a lot of the grass cutting and all the gardening.  This is making me wonder what I don't do and what anyone else does.  I guess that's what I get for becoming a domesticated house wife!  I love every bit of it though!!!  (Oh my! I though it said what room of the house do you BELONG the most in?  Oh well! I blog in the dining room.  I have a desk top and that is where its at.) LOL!

5.  What is your best physical feature?  My hair! I have red hair that is all natural.  This is a color you just can't get from a bottle.  I don't care if you go to the best New York stylest, you can't get this color.  I didn't always like it.  As a child, I always wanted to blend in.  Now, I love it.  I like to stand out and let everyone know I'm here.  I want the world to know when I enter the room.  I also like the way people think red heads have really bad tempers.  I never did, until my son was born.  Toys-R-Us has seen my wrath as well as a few others. LOL!

It's Christmas Eve!

Today I will be going between two family Christmas Celebrations!  So, I wanted to leave everyone with a Merry Christmas wish.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and that Jesus is celebrated through this great holiday! I would sing for you, but I promise you that you don't want to hear me sing!  Here is a picture of Pooh and his friends singing! Just imagine it sounds good and I'm part of it. LOL!

Is He Really A Bad Boy?

Like most children, my son has been told over and over Santa is watching.  Does this change his behavior? No!  He knows MeeMaw is watching too, and will still get him something for Christmas.  He then dared to ask me "Who else is getting me something for Christmas?"  This way he didn't have to relie on Santa.  Little Brat!

As a mother, I always think my little boy is bad.  Not bad to the point of military school is in his future, but bad as in every little boy is bad.  I find that some kids you can look at and know they are trouble makers.  I know this isn't fair, but that is how I feel.  First impressions are hard to shake.

I cut my son's and husband's hair myself, and always worry about Will's hair.  He is fair with freckles and blond hair.  I worry about cutting it too short and having him look like one of those "bad" kids.  So, I always leave the front long.  Well, I got a new clipper set.  One I saw reviewed on another blog and just had to have.

I deiced it may be time to cut Will's hair like the instructions say.  So, I used the longest attachment and held my breath......  The first cut took sooooooooo much hair off!  I thought I was going to black out.....  Then remembered to breath again!....  Ok, I could do this.  It would grow back.  Right?  Sure it would.

After the dead was done, it didn't look as bad as I though.  It looked like I took him to the beauty shop.  It just didn't look like my little boy.  My baby boy.  My good little boy.  Instead, he looked like one of those kids that was good most of the time, but you could see he had a bad little boy side.  Oh well.  It's time everyone should know that he isn't always sweet.

Here is a picture of his new hair cut.

Hubby just got the same cut he always gets.  A lot like the cut I was giving Will before.  Short in the back and long in the front.  He was happy with his cut.  I was happy with my new clipper set.  It is color coded and works great! I LOVE it.  Merry Christmas to me! (Really, that was most likely my Christmas gift!)

A Big Behind!

cat scared of fat woman from behind... Pictures, Images and Photos

I love reading other blogs! It makes me feel  like I have connections to other people I don't really know.  Wow! That sounded creepy.

My problem is, that I follow so many great blogs and don't have the time to read them all.  I try to balance my computer time with my family, house work, shopping, dinner, dog, friends, and so much more.  This cuts my computer time down.  I do my emails, check (play) on facebook, do my blog post, try to enter some giveaways, and try to read other blogs.  This takes up my morning and if I let it my day.  I have to limit myself.

So, when I see a comment or email from one of my bloggy buddies that I haven't visited in a while, I feel all guilty.  This is my way of telling everyone I am not a little behind on my reading, I am a big behind!  I will be trying to catch up sometime.  Don't think I don't care.  I will be around eventually, between the cleaning, telling my son not to let the dog lick him because she just licked her but, baking for Christmas, cooking dinner, washing and putting up clothes, and much more.

Get ready everyone, I'm coming to visit and comment!

Meet Me On Monday!

I love this new Meet Me On Monday time! Java over at Never Growing Old is hosting this great blog hop and this is my second Monday to join in.  She asked 5 questions and here are my answers.

1.  What will your Christmas dinner consist of?  Well, I have three Christmas dinners to enjoy.  On Christmas Eve I will be going between my family and my Hubby's family Dinners.  On Christmas Day I will be cooking for us and each of our Dads. (Our families are both divorced.)  All together we will have fried turkey and backed ham.

2.  Do you watch commercials or flip through the channels?  I don't watch a ton of tv, so I often find that when I do commercials are a time to run to the bathroom or kitchen.  I sometimes catch a few commercials.

3.  How long will you leave your Christmas decorations up?  I normally have it all down before new years, but sometimes leave the nativity set up longer.

4.  What movie makes you cry every time you watch it?  I'm not much of a movie person.  I don't have much time to sit through a 30 min. show much less a movie.  I can't remember any one movie that made me cry more than once.  Or for that matter, when was the last time I saw a movie that made me cry.

5.  Do you have a Facebook?  I finally let my Hubby talk me into facebook a few months ago.  I mostly like to play bejeweled!

Ok, you know more about me know.  How would you answer these questions?

Thankful Thursday!

Today is my Husband's Birthday!  A wonderful day to share with him!  Now that we have a family our birthdays are that much more special.  We love to celebrate birthdays together.

I am so thankful for my wonderful Husband God has so graciously given me.  He is a wonderful person!  He has shown me how to give more of myself and to share what we have an abundance of.  He is a great father and loves his family so much.  Today we will be spending the day doing things he likes to do.  We are going out to eat at his favorite place (Buffalo Wild Wings) and doing whatever else he wants.  We may go visiting friends or just spend time together as a family.

I wanted to share with you all a picture that struck me as so amazing.  My Husband put his shoes down in the spot and about 2 hours later my son was told to take of his shoes.  He placed his right next to his Daddy's shoes.  (Both pair were not in the correct spot, but looked so darn cute)  Will loves his Daddy and wants to be just like him!

Share what you are thankful for today and link up with us and our host Iris at Grace Alone.

To Be So Lazy.......

Dogs have the best life!  A dog gets fed, petted, and has a warm and loving family to take care of them.  At least our dog does.  She is our fur baby after all!

Here is a picture of her getting ready for bed.  She is in her bed (which is in our room) at about 8:00 or 9:00 every night.  She loves her sleep!

This year I was so excited to get her an ornament for the tree.  This is her first Christmas with us and as a member of the family, she had to have her own ornament.  I was lucky enough to win this beautiful Lenox ornament from Nichol over at Kiddies Corner Deals!

This made our Christmas that much more special!

Meet Me On Monday

Ok, I found this really cool blog hop from my friend Bernie over at One Mixed Bag.  It is called Meet Me On Monday and is hosted by Java over at Never Growing Old.  I thought it was sooooo great I joined in!  Java posted 5 get to know you questions and I get to answer them so you can get to know me better.

Questions:

1. How do you order your steak?  I always order my steak med/well or just well.  I don't like to see any blood! I like it cooked and in some cases almost burned.

2. Are you superstitious about anything?  I don't really consider myself superstitious because I believe God has everything planed out for me.  Nothing I do can change His plan!

3. Who is your best friend (not including your spouse)?  This one is hard.  I have no really close best friend that I grew up with from birth or anything like that.  I only have great friends that each have their own best friend qualities I cherish!

4. When is the last time your wore a dress (for the guys...a suit)?  I wore a dress a few months ago.  I normally just wear them for special occasions, but would love to be a dress wearing lady often.  I just can't seem to find many skirts or dresses that fit well, (not teeny bopper or slut like).

5. Do you have any trips scheduled?  No, not really.  We don't go far very often.  All our family mostly lives close and we are broke.  So, no vacations for us anytime soon.

Thanks for visiting me and know you know a little more about me.  Let me know if you answered any of these questions and I will be sure to check out your blog.

Thankful Thursday

My Thankful Thursday post was not a hard one to write.  I didn't have to sit and think about what I was thankful for this week.  What I am thankful for has been on my mind for a while now.

I am thankful that God is all seeing and all knowing.  He has a plan for us all.  That includes me and whatever happens to me.  Not long ago, someone came back into my life that really bothers me.  Not bothers me in a bad way, but in a way that I'm not sure I can trust this person or their motives.  I don't know exactly if this person is sincere in starting a friendship with me again (our past has a lot of craziness in it), or if this person wants something more from me in time.

I don't have any financial way of helping this person, and I don't think they need it.  All I can invest in this relationship is my emotions.  That is something I am working on trusting God with.  I am trying my hardest to leave it all in His hands.  To let Him lead me and to just be the kind of person God wants me to be.  This is Hard!  I am trying to be hospitable and kind, but under everything is that nagging feeling of having to be careful of my feelings.  Also that I have to walk on egg shells around this person.  I'm just not sure of anything when it comes to this.  The only thing I can be sure of is God's plan for me.  I know He loves me and only wants the best for me, but I have also given myself to Him knowing full well that He will use me to help others too.  I can only trust in Him.

This week I am thankful that I have such a loving God, who only wants the best for me.  I will continue to pray about this, and ask that you remember me in your prayers also.  This is a problem that can torment me if I let it.  Luckily I am trying to leave it in God's hands.

To share what you are thankful for on this fabulous Thursday, head on over to Grace Alone and link up with my friend Iris!

The End Of My Garden

This year was the first year I had a REAL garden.  As some of you read earlier in the year (on our anniversary) Hubby had someone come over with a tractor and get the ground ready for me to have my very own garden.  It was such a big surprise!

I planted a ton of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, corn, zucchini, and some pumpkins!  Last week I picked the only two pumpkins that grew.  I babies those pumpkins and lovingly watered and turned them every day.  I am so proud of my little pumpkins.  Here is a picture for you all to see my fist pumpkins I have ever grown!

After getting them in the house and washing them good, I decided to make pumpkin puree.  I looked up how to make it on the Food Network site.  Alton Brown is a master at things like this!  I made my pumpkin puree and it is now safely in my freezer.  Soon I will be making pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread!  I can't wait!

Who needs a Pillow Pet when I can Make One!!!!!

Will wanted a Pillow Pet of his own for a while.  He liked the dog.  I planned on getting him one, but Hubby didn't think it was such a good idea.  He thought is was a wast of money.  When talking about it one day, he asked me why I didn't just make him a Pillow Pet myself.

Good question!  I started looking for patterns, and don't you know I found one.  I am a crocheter and found the perfect crochet pattern for a Hound Pillow.

It took me a good 2 months (I took my time), but it came out sooooo cute!  I gave it to Will after he got his 4 year old booster shots.  He loved it!  It stays in his bed and sleeps with him every night.  He even named him.  His Hound Pillow's new name is Max!  Here is a picture for you so you can tell me what a great job I did in the comments=)

The Fresh Air Fund

Have you ever herd of The Fresh Air Fund?  I hadn't until I got an email one day.

My son gets so much fresh air, that I get tired of fresh air. LOL! He loves playing outside. It cold be hot or cold, he is begging to go outside.

I never knew that there were some kids that didn't get to play outside.  In New York City they have The Fresh Air Program that gets kids out in the fresh air.  It serves more than 300 youngsters in middle and high school opportunities to go on weekend retreats and do job shadowing.  In the summer they even do two-week trips to the country to visit and volunteer.  They have fund camps in upstate New York to make unforgettable memories.

The Open Air Fund is looking for donations to help keep the programs they offer alive.  $10 will send one child on a bus ride to his or her Friendly Town host family, $24 will provide a child with a week of swimming lessons,  $42 provides a day of Career Awareness classes, and so on.  You get the point.  This gets expensive, that's why they are looking for donations.  If you can help, please visit them at The Fresh Air Fund!

Right now my son is in love with the Jingle Bells song.  He sings it all day long.  If we turn on the radio he wants to hear it.  But, that ok!  I much rather him sing the real Jingle Bells than what he was singing before.

A few days ago, Hubby and I looked at each other in horror!  Horror, because Will was singing the overstocked.com version of Jingle Bells which has been playing on the tv commercials.  This meant we where letting him watch way too much tv and that Christmas was slowly being turned into a commercial holiday for more people.  If our son was singing this song, how many other children where singing it?  How many of those kids where going to grow up to never really know the REAL meaning of Christmas?

It didn't take us long to teach him the correct version of Jingle Bells!  As the days have gone by, we have discussed Christmas and what it really means.  We put up the nativity set together and talked about it all the while.  We know Will is going to remember and that he does understand, but so many other children don't.  A few weeks ago, I asked the children in my Sunday School Children's Church class if they could tell me what Christmas was all about.  The very first answer I got was "Santa comes to your house and brings you presents!".  I know they are still young, but lets all take the time to teach our children about the birth of our savior Jesus Christ!  Will you be reading the Christmas Story out of your Bible with your family this year?  I sure will!

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday is hosted this month by Iris over at Grace Alone.  Go on over and link up with us and share what you are thankful for today!

Have you ever had those days where you just don't get anything done.  When your head hurts and your child and dog do what ever they can to intensify your pain, or at lest that's how it seams.  Well, yesterday was one of those days for me.  All I wanted was some quite time.  I think in the end I made more noise fussing them than they made to start with.

This morning I woke up to see my little boy with a stoped up nose and knew his allergies had gotten the best of him.  While I sat on the couch holding my 43 pound baby on my lap I realized, this is what family is all about.  Noise, allergies, and all.  The fact that we have a warm house and a big couch that I can hold my baby on is amazing at times to me.  Don't get me wrong, we have our share of financial struggles, but that moment made it all worth it.  All the noise and headache from the day before was forgotten when I saw my little boy feeling bad.

My point is that this is my family! A family I wouldn't trade for the world.  A family God gave to me.  No matter how much we struggle or how much I wish my Husband could be home on Thanksgiving, instead of working so that we can pay the electric bill this month.  I love and need my family.  I would keep my headache  forever if it meant I could keep my family just as it is.  Filled with love!  That's what I am thankful for today.  What are you thankful for?

Feeding America and Hamburger Helper Giveaway! (CLOSED)

Hamburger Helper has teemed up this GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter and actor, Tim McGraw to help Feeding America  in the Show Your Helping Hand TM campaign.  This campaign will help feed Americans in need though local food banks.

Tim McGraw made a public service announcement that will be seen nation wide.  You can go here to view it.  You can also do your part in supporting the campaign by submitting codes from specially marked boxes of Hamburger Helper at http://www.showyourhelpinghand.com/ or by logging on to make a donation. Hamburger Helper has already donated more than half a million dollars and will contribute up to an additional $100,000 to Feeding America through this program. Don´t think one code will make a difference? The 17 cents Hamburger Helper donates per code is enough for Feeding America to deliver one meal to a local food bank.

To spread the word about this campaign Hamburger Helper and MyBlogSpark sent me a package that includes a box of Hamburger Helper skillet meals, a Hamburger Helper foam "Helping Hand" and a copy of Tim McGraw´s "Southern Voice" CD. In addition, Hamburger Helper made a $10 donation to the Show Your Helping Hand TM campaign on my behalf.

Here are pictures of the Hamburger Helper I cooked and Will playing with the foam "Helping Hand". LOL! He was so cute! He still has the foam hand in his room!

You can have a chance to win an autographed copy of Tim McGraw´s "Southern Voice" CD by visiting http://www.showyourhelpinghand.com/.  (Mine was not autographed, but still very cool!)
