It Must Be Moody Monday!!!

Well, I wake up today to find it must be Moody Monday. Will wakes up at 3:00 am screaming for no apparent reason. I get him to sleep again then the dog decides it's time to go out and won't take no for an answer. When Will wakes up later on telling me that he wet the bed. He hasn't done that in a year. I don't know what is going on with that!

I get everything done and cleaned that needs to be cleaned form Will and Charlotte's morning of moodiness, to turn the computer on and find that someone got all moody on me in my email! How crazy. Just because I apparently don't have her giveaway listed or something, she accused me of not representing the Asian people! I guess not everyone realizes that I do have a family and like spending time with them. I can't be on the computer 24/7 looking for every giveaway in the blogging world and making sure they are representing each nationality and culture! Do any of you other bloggers do that? Am I just out of the loop? Please let me know!

I don't know about you, but I am now going to go and eat breakfast with my 3 year old!! I hope the day gets better!! And just an FYI, If this post makes you feel a little crazy and you just have to leave me a moody comment, go right on ahead. It will make for some funny stuff to read and post about later on. (Shame on me. I shouldn't have said that. But I did. I will pray for the person who felt the need to email me this morning, as well as myself.)

If Looks Could Kill!!!

Thankful Thursday!

Today on Thankful Thursday I wanted to share with everyone my thankfulness of remembering that all things happen in God's time and in His way.

So many times I have to remind myself that if something is going to happen for me it will be in His time and in His way. Often I catch myself praying that things will get better for a friend or that we will get what we need. I have to remember that God loves us and has a plan for us. My friend's situation is the way it is because He has a plan for her. We may not need exactly what I thing we need. We may already have what we need and not even realize it. Does that make since to you? I ramble sometimes and don't even realize it:)

I am thankful this week that He knows our heart and He is everywhere. He loves us too much to watch us suffer. Most of the time our suffering comes from our own making. To me this is a big deal. If you read my post yesterday, you will understand my thankfulness today for God's time! He is so great!!!! I am sending my praise to you dear Lord!!!!

If you would like to participate in Thankful Thursday and show us all what you are thankful for visit Laurie at
Women Taking A Stand. Thanks Laurie for hosting this month!

A Dream Come True!

You may just hear him on the radio or see him on TV one day. He is singer/songwriter by heart and pursues his passion every chance he gets. His dream has been to preform for the public for some time. Who is he? None other than my Hubby, Kenny Spears!

For years he has wanted to go and play in coffee houses and bars to share his love of music with the world. He never had a chance to do this with the crazy hours he worked at other jobs and then a newborn at home. Well God knew his deepest dream. We trusted in him to know when the time would be right. Now, in God's time, Kenny will be playing his first show in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He will be playing at
Sylvia's Bistro on June 2nd, from 5-7 pm. Kenny's dream has come true. This is only the beginning and he is so excited. God has surly blessed us!!!! How great He is!!!!

I have also been praying for trust. Trust in Him as well as in Kenny. I am what you would call a worrier and sometimes I can crush the joy right out of a situation with worries! I have tried to put my worries in God's hands and leave them there where they belong. As most of you know, that is a hard thing to do. I falter a lot, but remember that He loves me and sent His only son to save me. What a wonderful God I have!!!! He always amazes me!!!!

As for Hubby, we are praying and he is practicing. He can't wait for his big night on the stage! I hope everyone can come. I know most reading this lives too far away to share the evening with us, but your prayers would be greatly appreciated. While we are excited, we also have a lot of investment of the heart and finances in this.

For all of you who doesn't know Kenny and would like to check him out this video he has on You Tube or go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nJuAJQc3LI if for some reason the video below doesn't load (I'm not to good at this yet).

This Ceiling Fan Sucks!!!!

Will has a ceiling fan in his room that has been needing to be replaced forever! The blades on the thing bow down because it hasn't ran in years. In all honesty it didn't run when we moved here. I have wanted to replace it forever! My sister-in-law gave me a brand new fan some time ago, but since Hubby is a little afraid of electricity he wouldn't put it up. I was going to put it up myself since it came with directions and all. Hubby found out about my plan and flat out told me I was NOT going to do it myself. Especially when he wasn't home!!! (That was my plan! I didn't want him home while I did it meaning I would be home alone with Will and not having him worry.)

So, I finally talked his cousin's Hubby into doing it for me by paying him with a good home cooked meal. (I make the best pork roast ever!!!! No really I do!!!) He came over a little drunk and put it up after he ate. It was easy as pie to put it up.

Now, only a few months later, two of the three bulbs has burnt. I decided to go buy some more when I found out that no one carries the stupid special bulbs it apparently needs! Now I have to either change the fan out again or change out the part that the light fits into so that a normal bulb will fit. Again I am not going to be allowed to change it and need to talk someone into coming and doing it for me. This sooooo sucks!!! I hate this fan!!!! And the other one!!!!

Ok, I got that out of my system. Thanks for sticking around if you read all that. Sorry for the complaining! And yes, the ceiling in Will's room is dark blue. That was all my idea when painting his room. It reminds Hubby of the old skating ring days. I just wanted it to resemble the night sky. When he is bigger we can get some glow in the dark stars to put up for him. (I tried the glow in the dark paint. Didn't work!)

It's Sooooooo Bad!!!

I tried so hard not to cry!!!! My head hurt so bad!!!! I just wanted to go home and never leave again!!!!! What made me feel like this you ask? Well.....................................

I decided to finally go and get my hair cut. It has been needing it for some time now. It is hot and was killing me in the heat. (The heat index has been in the 100's here!)

The girl that I made the appointment with to cut my hair didn't show up at work Friday, so I let someone else cut it. I explained how I wanted it cut. (Very classic and not at all cutting edge and stylish.) I am a very traditional and a classic kind of girl. Apparently I didn't come across that way. She thought I was a stylish kind of girl (did she not see my classic t-shirt and shorts with flip flops and mommy bag?).

I got a very stylish and trendy cut, but it's so not me!!! I don't know what to do. Hubby said it's not the worst hair cut I've ever got and it doesn't look that bad on me. He also admitted that it just wasn't my style. I decided to wash it myself, blow it out, and flat iron it. It didn't really help. It stilled looked about the same. (Sigh) I am stuck with it. So, I told myself to just accept it and try to rock it. To act like I am stylish and trendy! Well, I woke up with my head feeling good again Saturday morning. I saw my Mother-In-Law (who always has something to say about everything) and she didn't say a word about my obvious new hair cut! What!!!! Nothing to say!!!!! Is it that bad!!!!! Here comes the horrible pains in my head!

I finally got the courage to ask her about what she thought. She admitted that she didn't like the cut much, but it didn't look bad on me. She just felt the style wasn't the best. That is exactly the way I feel. I don't care for this style on anyone I saw it on previously. It's just not my kind of thing, you know.

I have considered taking my own scissors and doing a little cutting on my own to it. Should I? I don't want to go and pay someone to fix it, and the poor girl already felt so bad when she realized that this was not the cut I wanted. She even tried to fix it so that it wasn't so dramatic. What do I do? Do I just try to rock it and let it grow out? My hair does grow pretty fast. I don't know what to do.

This is about what the cut looks like, just no bangs, a little longer in the front, red hair, and not so pretty face. More like the one on the right, but not so messy. More smooth like the one one the left.

I think I will pull the front up and pin it back to go to church today. I don't know what else to do until I totally make peace with this cut or just chop off the front more myself.

Thankful Thursday!

All this month Thankful Thursday is hosted by Laurie at Women Taking A Stand. Please join us and tell everyone what you are thankful for Today.

Today and everyday I am thankful for Hubby's job. Since the birth of our son, He has been the sole provider for us. As of last year his job was going down hill. He was in the construction business and as the economy crashed, so did his hours. We where lucky enough to find out about a job fair at a wood mill about an hour away that he has been interested in since he helped to build it. The wood mill is the biggest in North America and is 99.9% emissions free. That was a big plus. He was one of the 13 hired out of 200+ that day. His pay check has taken a hit making our finances a LOT lower and in so making life harder for us, but he has a job!

So many people in the United States lost their jobs. Some are still looking for work. We where lucky enough and didn't loose our home like so many others. The pictures form the evening news still haunt me. I will never forget seeing those poor people living in tents on the side of the road or in fields. They lost everything is such a short time. The only reason we made it was because of hubby's job and the fact that we didn't have much to loose. We had not stocks, we had no money in the bank, we only had a house and a truck note. Then the house note (Thank The Good Lord!) is not through a bank. That was another big plus to be thankful for. Our interest rate never went up! We are so thankful for that too! God is good!!! We are ever so thankful. My heart is so full just writing this!

Flowers!

I am so proud of my flowers! This year they are just so beautiful. I can't get over how many flowers God has blessed me with so far. I have always liked planting flowers and having hanging baskets, but they don't always survive. This year every flower I have has made beautiful blooms for me. I can't wait for my veggies to grow!!!

Hubby gave me my anniversary gift, and what a surprise it was. We never give each other anything for any kind of holiday or anniversary. We just enjoy being together. This year he surprised me with a tractor coming down the road, turning in our drive way, and telling me to pick a spot for a garden! My very own garden. In the ground! My ground! Not in pots!!! How exciting it was.
I picked my spot in the back yard and off he went to start my garden. We have tried to grow trees and bushes in the yard and only one little tree has taken. So, I am hoping and praying that we fertilize and do everything right for our little garden. I will be transplanting my tomatoes and other plants in a week or so. I will also be planting seeds. Everyone said we are starting too late. I say "I don't see anyone else's pumpkins coming in yet." LOL! If my garden doesn't grow my love for my Hubby still will. He was so thoughtful to do this for me. It will take a lot of work on my part to make the garden a success, but it would never have started without him!!!

I Haven't Seen My Mommy In 2 Weeks!!!!

This weekend was a great one for our house hold in more ways than one! Friday night my friend and I got to see Martina McBride in concert. What a concert it was.

I have always been a fan of Martina's, but I don't know if I have ever stopped to reflect on her music. After listening to so many of her song in a row (She sang a lot of songs in that concert), I realized just how many songs represented her faith. Not many music stars as big as she is have their faith represented so well. She was very nicely dressed and you could clearly see her band was like a big family.

I also noticed she had a lot of songs that where about abuse. It makes me wonder what kind of a life she had growing up. She now has 3 girls in ages from 14 to 4. WOW! She is a wonder Mom who seems to do it all, even keeping her faith alive in a crazy world where so many stars loose their faith so easily.

Saturday was Hubby and my 6th anniversary!!! We never do much for our anniversary. One or both of us is usually working and we just end up having a nice family dinner at home. This year our anniversary fell on a Saturday. We planed a dinner and a movie out. We had a babysitter for Will and everything. Our friends watching Will talked him and us into letting Will spend the night. It was agreed on by all parties and went extremely well considering Will has not spent the night away from Mommy since he was one month old (which really doesn't count). Hubby and I enjoyed a nice dinner and great movie. We haven't been able to do anything like that in years. (I must say I did tear up in the movie theater when no one could see because I was missing my little man.)

(We saw Robin Hood and it was great!!)

Just when we where about to head home my cell rang. Will was crying for Mommy and swore to everyone he hadn't seen his Mommy in 2 weeks! You would think I abandoned him. When we got to our friends home he was sound asleep. They told us he was so tired and after talking to me on the phone fell asleep in 15 min. He ended up waking up the next morning as happy as could be and never even mentioned the word Mommy. He told me when he got home that he had fun and now was planning his next sleep over at Mee Maw's house. We shall see how that goes!

Sunday I got my anniversary gift, but you will have to wait until tomorrow to find out what it is and why I had to wait until Sunday to get it! See you right back here tomorrow:)

I'm So Excited!!!!

Excited is really just not the word. I am beyond excited!!! Why you ask? Well, I am going to do something I haven't done in a long time tomorrow!

Tomorrow is our 6th year anniversary! Yea Us!!! For the first time since Will was a about a month old Hubby and I will have a night to ourselves. (When Will was a month old my sister-in-law kept him over night for about 5 hours so I could get some much needed sleep and rest.) Will will hopefully be spending the night with some friends. He has not gone overnight with out us since that one time at a month old. I am a little stressed about how he will do, but it will be good for us and him.

Hubby and I are planning a movie and dinner! We haven't been to a real restaurant (not a drive through or fast food joint) since Will was about a year old. We will see our like 7th movie together. And the amazing part is that this will be our second movie in a month to see together! That never happens! We took Will to see How To Train Your Dragon a few weeks ago. (It was great!!) Now we are going see the new Robin Hood movie! The time between our seeing movies is usually a year or so not a month!!! I am so excited!!!!!

Plus a friend called last night and offered us some Martina McBride tickets for tonight!!! That is so wonderful. Hopefully it works out so that we can go! What an exciting adventure this is turning out to be!!!!

Thankful Thursday

Thank you for visiting me on Thankful Thursday! I try to always be thankful to God for everything he has blessed me with. Today I am especially thankful for the Internet.

Sometimes (Most of the time) I feel we would all be better off with out all the technology we have today, but the Internet has helped me so much in the last year. I have found sites that had coupons which help me save my family hundreds of dollars this year. I have found sites that introduced me to The Lord in a whole new way. I have found it so easy to find out what the weather was going to be like. And, I have found new friends that have opened up a world to me I never knew existed.

So to all my fellow bloggers out there, Thank You! I am thankful to know so many of you and find new blogger friends every day. To all of you who leave me comments, THANK YOU!! I would go insane thinking I was all alone in my little world and no body cared much to visit me:)

Have a blessed Thursday everyone! Visit Laurie at Women Taking A Stand to join in and tell us all what you are thankful for today!

Will! Will! How Does Your Garden Grow?

Will and I planted a pot garden starting them from seeds a while back. They are starting to get big and even produce.

Will got to taste his reward a few days ago and it was sweet. He had his first strawberry turn red and ready to eat. More are on the way. I can't believe how many are being produced. His tomato plants are next. One is already growing a tomato and this squash plants are big and growing. The only thing that hasn't even sprouted yet are his watermelon seeds. They are miniature watermelons and we just planted them not long ago. They may still make.

Having a garden has been great for both teaching Will to grow things as well as having our own food that is so much yummier than store bought hot house vegetables. I encourage everyone to plant a garden. Even if it's just in pots like ours:)

Days of Fun!

Mother's Day was a good one at our house. I had my little man with me and that was all I needed. He was actually very good that day. We had lots to do and he stayed busy. I was afraid I would have a repeat of my birthday, but the day turned out much better.

Hubby had to work this weekend, but was off yesterday and today. We had a crawfish boil yesterday. I don't eat crawfish, but everyone else sure does. We had a great time visiting and having fun. The crawfish where amazing from what everyone said. We ate, the men played music (they all play guitar), and the kids about fell out last night from playing so hard all day.

It all just reminds me how blessed we are and how thankful I need to be. I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day and a great Weekend in general.

Please Pray!

I have herd of the big flood that took over in Nashville. My Hubby even showed me a picture of the Grand Ole Opry under water. But, I never really understood the detestation until I saw the pictures posted on Allie's blog Table For 3.

The reality hit me so hard I began to cry. I had prayed for the people who were effected by this before, but now my prayers had pictures in my mind to go with them. I began to think of all the hurricanes I have been through here in Louisiana and how we are now entering hurricanes season again. The pictures brought up so many memories.

I ask that you visit Table For 3 and see for yourself. Please pray for those people and their families. They could also use some help if you have the extra to give. They have lost everything. From clothes to normal everyday things we take for granted like soap and toothpaste. But most important please I ask that you send up a prayer for them. Pray with me know.

Dear Father, Please hold these people in your hand. You know what they need most. We pray that they don't forget that there is a reason for everything and you are with them now. May they receive all they need to rebuild and may they praise your name Dear God. Amen!

Thankful Thursday~Summer Fun!

Today is the day of the week where I try to write down one of the many things I am thankful that God has blessed me with. This week I am thankful for summer fun.

It has been an long hard winter compared to the past winters here in Louisiana as well as across the United States. Will has been asking when summer was going to get here for some time. Even Fall started to loose it's colorful hues in his eyes. Yesterday was his first taste of real summer fun.

It was hot the last few days, and Hubby decided it was time to crank up the water hose and wash his truck. Will was all for anything that had to do with getting wet. After the truck was clean I figured, why let the fun stop. I hooked up the sprinkler and Hubby went to town in search of a slip and slide. He played for hours.

This is only the first taste of summer fun for him, but I know all to well how hot the days will become. Summer fun is one of the many things I am thankful for. What are you thankful for this week? Share with me here and then go on over and visit Laurie all this month at Women Taking A Stand and link up!

What Kind Of Pantie Girl are You?

Let me start today by saying this. I wanted to post yesterday. I really did. I woke up with a post in mind. I had it all planed out. Then I realized I felt horrible. My allergies and sinus didn't want to corporate with me.
So, the morning was gone. When the afternoon came the Internet was down. I decided that was God's way of telling me to just rest and not worry about it today.
Now this morning I feel a little better and the Internet is up. This is the post I wanted to write for yesterday.
What kind of a girl are you?
Do you wear granny panties or thongs? I had a conversation all about this a few days ago. Most of the women I talked to are now Moms and now wear granny panties almost always. They are comfortable and who cares about what our panties look like now anyways. The baby who is waking up for the 2:00 am feeding sure doesn't care and the 12 year old sure doesn't want to find Mom's thong in her clothes by mistake!
A few still wear thongs. This group was mostly made up of the women who had children early in life and still go out to have a good time with their Husbands and friends. They feel young and just never wanted to become a granny pantie girl.
I was in the group that liked bikini cut. I was never a thong girl. They look so uncomfortable (I now know not all are) and unattractive if they show. I don't like granny panties because they come up over the top of my pants and can show. (As you can see I don't like under ware to show) Thongs are just not me. I do ware them on occasion when I have on dress pants that drape and you can see the pantie line of other panties.
So what kind of pantie girl are you?
So, what group do you fit into.

Ready To Give Away A Dog!!!

Why am I ready to give away a dog? This is what I found in my house Sunday when I came home from visiting the in-laws....

That was on the floor in the kitchen. It's a slice of bread. As I looked around this is what I found in the dogs bed....

That is what was a whole loaf of bread, a twelve pack of Coca-Cola (thank goodness it wasn't my Dr Pepper!), a bad of dog treats, and a box that some planting stuff came in! Plus she tore down two sets of blinds now from the living room windows!

But wait! That morning when I came home from Church I found she used the bathroom on my carpet! She knows better by now. I'm at my whits end. If someone would have offered to take her yesterday she would have been gone in a heart beat! I am getting overwhelmed with the dog hair everywhere too!

She made up for it all this morning though. She usually wakes me up very early to take her out. Today she let me sleep an extra hour. It was so lovely. I guess I'll keep her. I do like her some:) I just get so tired of cleaning up after her. That's all I seam to do. I guess I'll have to pray about this a little more. I hope everyone else had a great weekend!
