Thankful Thursday~Baby Monitors!

This morning I was laying in bed and thinking about what I was thankful for today. I looked over to my baby monitor and smiled. Yes, my son is 3 1/2 years old and I still use the baby monitor! His room is across the house from ours and I like to know when he is awake. He also has been having nightmares lately and I need my monitor to wake me up when he needs me.

So I am a little overprotective. I couldn't go without one though. I don't know how long I will continue to use it, but I can tell you it's not going anywhere right now.

My monitor is on the basic side. You can get some with cameras, but why? Don't you sleep when your child sleeps? You can get some with pads that go under your baby, so that an alarm goes off when they move. Why I ask you? I don't see the need for something like that. I only need to hear him if he cries for me.

So thank you Lord, that I have the technology to hear my son cry for me at night! I am truly thankful for this little contraption!! I am also thankful that I have a very healthy son and don't have any use for those more elaborate and over the top monitors!!!

  1. We had ours in our room for a long time and our house isn't even very big. It was nice to know I would hear him more clearly if he needed me. That's a good thing to be thankful for!

    God bless,

  3. Joshlin,

Girl, I had no idea there were all these monitors.

    How amazing.

I think it's neat you still listen for your little one. It's just like our Lord, always watching over us. Neat. See you this Thursday, Hugs. Lynn
