I love the luxury of a late morning.  When you can sleep in for just a little longer.

It's no secret that I'm not a morning person.  (I'm not much of a night person either, but that's another post all together.)  I am one of those kinds of people that love to lay in a warm, soft, comfortable bed and just listen to the world around me as I fall in and out of sleep.  But, as most Moms know, this is not possible to do the majority of the time.

Some mornings Hubby will get up earlier than me (he is more of a morning person) and keep Will from waking me up.  This allows me to sleep a bit longer and have the joy of listening to my little family as I lay all snuggled up in my bed.  I love to here the conversations Hubby and Will have when I'm not in the room.

Yesterday I awoke to a morning like this.  I could here then making breakfast in the kitchen and Will talking nonstop.  I don't remember all of what they said, I just loved to here their voices.  After they made breakfast, Hubby let Will come to tell me breakfast was ready.  He climbs up in the bed and wakes me up as I pretend to be sleeping.  (I think he enjoys this just as much as making breakfast with Daddy.)  I realized that this was one of those little moments in time that I would always remember, and will miss so bad when He grows up.  I just thought I would share this with everyone today and remind you to grab those little moments in life that won't be there forever.

  1. Awwww what a great way to wake up. It must be a treat to be able to sleep in now and then. And such fun to hear the "boys" in your life alone in the am.
If only someone would do something with our cats that wake me up at 5 and 6. That would be bliss for me. *lol*
