Thankful Thursday
Well, that is a little hard for me. I have found so many that I feel strongly about. The one that recently took on a new meaning for me has been...
Romans 14 : 9-21 I met someone recently that made these verses stand out to me. Romans 14 : 20 is the one that gives me the most when I think of the person that has just come into my life. It reads....Rather, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burnings coals upon his head.
That is just one of the many scripture verses that have made a difference in my life. I have discovered so many that have changed my life. I am happy to share this one with you today. The friend that made this verse mean so much more to me feels persecuted daily. She keeps this verse close to her hart and keeps in mind that her treasure in heaven with the Lord.

Christmas Shopping!
I know, I know!!! Halloween and Thanksgiving have not even come and gone, and I am already Christmas shopping. How crazy is that? Well, I'm one of those people that like to get it done as soon as possible. I am on a limited budget and so, I get a little at a time as I can and look for great deals.
This week I started my shopping. I ordered some things from Hong Kong and they will take a while to come in (about a month). Yesterday I ordered something for Hubby's Step-Dad too. (I can't tell what all the gifts are, because my family does read my blog from time to time.)
So far I have 3 gifts bought. That is 3 that are paid for and on there way to my door. 3 less people on my list. What I want to know is, When do you start Christmas shopping? & Do you order from the Internet, magazines, tv shopping channels, or do you go the old fashion rout, and hit the stores in the biggest town closest to you?

KT Tunstall's New CD "Tiger Suit"
Have you ever had a song get stuck in your head and you end up singing it all day long? Well, I was that way with KT Tunstall's Grammy nominated hit song "Black Horse and The Cherry Tree", as well as her song "Suddenly I See".
I was so excited when I was asked by the One2One Network to review her new CD that hit stores October 5th. It's called "Tiger Suit" and already has a song from it that is a top 20 hit on the radio. It's called "Fade Like A Shadow".
If you don't know much about KT Tunstall, she is a is a Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum, Scottish-born singer-songwriter. You can check her out at her web site Here, where you can see all her tour dates and see pictures and videos she has for her new album.
For my review, my Hubby and I listened to the CD in the car and quickly found out that it was not what we where expecting. The first 7 songs didn't hold us at all. They are dance music kind of songs. Something to play when you are in a mood to get down and throw down.
Once we got to the songs on the CD after number 7 we did enjoy them more. Our favorite of all the songs was unanimously the 11th and last one. "The Entertainer" was a song that we felt was totally what we expected from KT, and a song we extremely liked. For us this was the song that was number one and the reason to buy her new CD "Tiger Suit". This song is worth hearing a few hundred times. LOL!
So if you would like to get yourself this CD, so you can here "The Entertainer" or her hit song "Fade Like A Shadow" you can buy it at Amazon and many other retailers.
By doing this review I was able to keep the CD "Tiger Suit" and am entered to win one of five fifty dollar gift cards. I was given this opportunity from the One2One Network. The review opinion was all mine and I stand by it!

Sorry!
Today is normally Giveaway Saturday, but I have been so busy this week I haven't even had time to enter any giveaways. This hurts me much more than it does you.
As a mater of fact I am out of the house right now and won't be back until late today. I am helping my Mother-In-Law with her booth at Jennings Alive today. Jennings Alive is like a big crafts and gifts show. They close an entire street down for it. It is always something. My son got a hand made marsh mellow shooter once. I can only imagine what he will find this year. I'll be sure to let you know what he comes home with. LOL!
So, if you are looking for those great giveaways look at my right hand column of my blog and go down. You will see the scroll bar that has buttons for some great giveaway blogs.
Good luck everyone and I hope you win since I didn't get a chance to enter!

Thankful Thursday
As most of you have figured out once you read my comments and blog a few times, I can't spell to save my life!!!! But, what you didn't know is that I was the first one in my family for generations that attended college. I actually graduated trade school before I graduated high school, then when on to McNeese State University.
2. I am not much of an animal person, but LOVE my own animals. I treat my dog like she is my baby. I have had a few dogs through out my life, but only one cat. I don't like cats much, but she was the coolest cat I was ever tricked into having.
3. I have no sense of style when it comes to dressing myself, and get discouraged shopping for clothes easily. I have recently thought of going to skirts and getting over the pants are for women too thing, but have noticed that it is very hard to find decent skirts made for decent Christan women!
4. I LOVE to window shop. I don't care if it's on tv, the computer, magazines, or in the stores. I like to window shop for everything. I even like to window shop for all those "Jesus Junk" items. (You know what I mean. Those items that are sold with His words or picture on it, that you have no need for and are just sold to make money of all us Christan folk.)
5. I am also walking with my friend Brady as often as we can, but not loosing any weight. Not many people know, but apparently you have to do exercise (like walking) AND diet. I must admit it to the world, I don't diet. I try to limit my eating and do portion control, but most of the time I fail miserably. I had to get up early today to go get Charlotte from the vet after her surgery yesterday (she is doing great by the way) and stoped at the donut shop. I had a lemon filled donut with my meat, cheese, and jalapeno biscuit. (Don't tell to many people! Brandy dosent' know I eat stuff like that still!)
Yes, I know that was only 5 things, but I just like to keep myself a mystery for now. Maybe 5 more next week! This week I am just thankful that God made us all individual and different. I like to know I do things differently than others and they do things differently than I do.

I Have The Doggy Blues
Yesterday I got up at 5:15 in the morning to bring my dear little fur baby to the vet. She had an appointment to be spade. They kept her overnight and today I have to pick her up.
All day yesterday I worried about her. I tried to leave her in God's hands, but....oh how hard that is! I missed her so much. I found myself looking for her and checking on her food. I even caught myself looking for her in her bed this morning.
Now, at 5:30 am (I'm sooooo not a morning person) I'm up and getting ready to go pick her up. I have to be at the vet by 7:30 and it's an hour away. Traffic can get crazy in the mornings and I still have my little love bug to wake up. (Will is sooooo not a morning person either!)
So, In a few hours I will be back home with my fur baby. I hope she is ok. I have so many questions I didn't think of when I dropped her off. Like....Do they walk her? or Does she have to potty on herself in a cage? I will not be to happy if they don't walk her. Hubby said he doesn't think they walk the dogs in the kennels. He thinks they leave them paper to piddle on. I surly hope not. If so, they herd her whine allllllllll day. She will hold it as long as possible. I hope they walked her!

You Could Win A Mystery Prize, Because I Love The CSN Store!
It's not often I find a store online that I order more than once from. (Yes, I have been burned before! A whole different post people!) But, The CSN store has been a store that I continue to find interesting things that I just have to have. You know what I mean. You start looking around, and before you know it you have been looking around this one online store for days! You see so many things you need and so many you didn't know you needed, but now you just have to have them!
They have everything! They have the Peg-Perego batteries for all of you that bought the John Deere Tractor like me. (Then a year later, when you need a new battery for it...they have it!!!) They have bar furniture that will make your Hubby want to build his own Man Cave...
as well as this Jacuzzi Whirlpool Tub that will make you want to build your own Mommy Cave!
The CSN Store has over 200 stores with sooooo many items in those stores, that I'm afraid to know how much stuff I have been looking at. I have spent hours of my "cleaning house" time on the computer. Thank goodness The CSN Store has offered to let me review an item from their store. I may just have to get a good mop or a new vacuum to catch up on my cleaning. I may just get a new pot to cook with, so Hubby will have his belly satisfied. Paula Deen and Rachel Ray seem to know exactly how to keep their man happy! LOL!
Then again, they have a ton of toys and games to keep Will occupied while I get all my work done. That Jacuzzi Whirlpool Tub is looking better every minute!!!!
Be on the lookout for my review soon to come. Can you guess what I will review? There may be a prize in it for the correct guess or the closest to it!!!! You have one guess each and until 11/15 to leave your guess here for me to see! Good Luck!

Thank Goodness for Baby Wipes!
Yesterday was Thankful Thursday. I found more to be thankful for as the day went on.
I found that I am very thankful that I have a son who always has a kool-aid mustache. I keep baby wipes in the truck to clean his little mustache often. Thank goodness I had them yesterday. I was at the store and went to unbuckle his car seat and that is when the car seat decided to keep my finder nail.
Let me tell you, it hurts when your finder nail gets ripped off your finger, I don't care how quick it happens. Baby wipes cleaned up a lot of blood! My finger bled for a while after that. I was blessed to have this lovely woman in the van parked next to me come over to help. She saw I was in pain and then saw my finger nail I pulled out the buckle. (The car seat was holding it hostage. I had to fight to get it back out.) She got out her first aid kit and I was all bandaged up. God sent her to me like an angle. I never even got to ask her name.
When I got home I realized how hard it is to do things without hurting that finger. It was my thumb nail. I will spare you the pictures (you can thank me in the comment section). Just know that it hurts!
Will took it very well though. He was concerned for me and even kissed my hand (keeping a good distance from the finger I hurt). He was mostly happy that it wasn't him and I didn't get any blood on his car seat (that I know of).

Thankful Thursday!
Again, it is Thankful Thursday! The day I get to share with the world what I am thankful for!
The month of October is hosted by Lynn at Spiritually Unequal Marriage.
Yes, I was wrong last week. I posted that this month was hosted my Iris at Grace Alone. But, Iris gently let me know that Lynn was the host this month, and Lynn never said a word. How beautiful these women are. To guide me with a gentle hand and never to scold. This week I corrected myself and plan to look at my calender more often.
This was a great reminder to me of how God guides me through this life. I mess up a lot. Most times it takes me more than one try to get it right. Sometimes, I don't even know where to begin correcting my mistakes. But, the Good Lord keeps giving me more patience and understanding than I could ever begin to imagine. He loves me, and with a gentle hand, guides me in the right direction.
Celebrating with me when I do things right. When I remember to say a special prayer for the person in the car that just cut me off, rather than say some unflattering words. When I suck it up and do something nice for someone, even when I know they would never do it for me. He is always there smiling on me. I know my reward is waiting for me in Heaven. I just keep reminding myself of how lucky I am to have such a wonderful, loving, and patient God.
So, thank you ladies for helping to remind me of how thankful I am to God for all his guiding and patience!

Lost 3 times in 30 minutes
Have you ever had one of those days, where you just can't do anything right? I have. A few nights ago, I was going through my house looking for my cell phone. I looked and looked and looked. I found it exactly where I left it. (Don't you hate that. You remember where you left it just as you find it. Then you feel like an idiot.)
The bad thing is, that I did this 3 time in around 30 minutes. I was the only one home with a cell phone, so I couldn't call it to find it. That makes it more stressful. Especially since I was waiting for a call from Hubby when he went on his break at work.
On top of that, Will's "dirty" hat that he wears outside to play was also missing. That went missing for almost a week before I found it, upside down and shoved almost under his bed. His room gets out of control sometimes. Of course it's not that big, so out of control is not really as bad as you would imagine.
I have been forgetting to get things a the store when I go (even though I made a list). What's going on? It must be just my craziness catching up with me. My only worry is.....what will I loose next? Car keys.....purse.....what could it be? I almost don't want to know. LOL!

The Fall Growing Season
Here is a picture of my fall garden. I think it is going really well. I planted some pumpkins, carrots, and zucchini. All together I have had three pumpkin plants grow, one carrot (out of an entire row!) grow, and four zucchini plants grow.
Here is a picture of my biggest pumpkin so far. I took this picture about a week ago though. Now it is about the size of a baby watermelon. It even has the strips like a watermelon. If I didn't know any better, I would think that this was a watermelon plant. Luckily, I remember planting it. LOL! I can't wait for my first pumpkin to be ready.
I have never had a garden before this year, so everything I grow is exciting to me! Next year I will have a garden twice as big, and with twice as much growing in it!!!
This is a picture of my biggest zucchini growing. And this picture was taken at the same day as the other one. So, it has grown 50% more since then and I picked it. I plan on making zucchini bread with it for a fund raiser back sale that one of my friends is having for her husbands medical expenses. It should be really good. My Mother-In-Law has already tried to figure out when I will be dropping the zucchini bread off, so she can go early and buy it. LOL! I will have blue berry muffins in the bake sale too. I wonder if she will buy those as well.
Do you have a fall garden growing? I have seen pictures of a few other gardens and there beautiful pumpkins. They live in a place where they can plant way before I can. They will have there pumpkins ready for carving, making pies, and decorating. I don't think mine will be ready until Thanksgiving unless they grow supper fast. That's ok though. I like pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving!

Thankful Thursday!
Once again it's Thursday, and so I am sharing with all of you how thankful I am. This week's Thankful Thursday is hosted by Iris at Grace Alone. Run over and visit her some time. She has a wonderful blog and is a beautiful soul. Share your thankful heart with us and link up!
Today I am thankful for food. There are many times when I wonder why we need food to survive. Sometimes food causes more problems than it's worth. It can mess with your sugar when you already have problems controlling it. It can cause you to gain extra weight with can lead to health problems.
Yet, living in the south, I feel sometimes like food is a blessing. God made us to need to eat to survive, and in the south that means coming together and spending time enjoying others. We have traditions of cooking tons of food just to have others come over and visit. There has never been a time when I visited someone and was not offered something to eat or drink. My friends and family spend every holiday and family get together around food. When an event is talked about, the first thing discussed is what kind of food will or should be served.
So, today I am thankful for food. It has the ability of drawing people together and making us closer. Would we still do all this with out food? Some of it we would, but how different our date nights and family get togethers would be with out it. No going out to dinner, no turkey for Thanksgiving, no ham for Christmas, no popcorn at the movies, no cotton candy at the fair. We would miss so much! Like this apple pie I made last night. And it is so goooooood. I love homemade apple pie! It's a bit messy looking, but if you ask me, the best food is the messiest food.

Goodbye Flip Flops! I Will Miss You!!!
Goodbyes are always hard. Seasons change and the weather changes with it. My flip flops are my must have item in the summer. I like my toes to be painted and my feet to feel free without going totally barefoot. I have outside flip flops and inside flip flops. Needless to say I love my flip flops.
It's just as hard to say goodbye to summer. Summer is sunshine, plastic swimming pools, tomatoes growing on the vine, shorts, and big fans. Even though I will miss Summer I know it will be back. Just like my flip flops. They will be waiting in my closet for next year. But, the season of my life I am in right now will be gone forever.
This season of being 20 something and having a pre-school. The season of needing to work hard to pay the house and truck note. The season of trying to save for retirement. All this in this season I will miss. I say goodbye to it knowing that the season to come will hopefully bring so much more. I am looking forward to my 30s and homework. I am looking forward to having our house and truck paid off. And, I am looking forward to having money saved in the bank. None of these are guaranteed to me, but I sure hope I get to see them all, as well as much more!
So goodbye my beloved flip flops. I will miss you until next season!

A Supper Crazy Day!
Today is going to be a super crazy day. I feel it already. The day before our big 10 family garage sale!
I have been working for weeks to get everything together. I have sorted, tagged, boxed, and bagged things for it. I have a ton of my son's old clothes he can't fit anymore. (WOW is he growing!) Plus I am one of those OCD people who like to be super organized. Yesterday I loaded up the truck. Today starts with a babysitting job, a walk (I can hardly believe I am exercising!), a last minute clean up. Then off to unload my things at my Mother-In-Law's for Saturday.
I can't wait! I am hoping to sale everything and make a great boat load of money. In reality, I want to clean my house of the clutter and sale my son's old clothes, so I can buy him new ones. He has NO winter clothes. I counted one pair of pants, one set of socks, and four long sleeve shirts. Most of which he got for his birthday. (So sad.) Plus he will need a new pair of shoes soon.
So, if you are in the area of Jennings, Louisiana tomorrow stop by and say hello. I'm sure with 10 families having a garage sale in the same yard, you will find something you never knew you need! LOL!
